This work presents the development of a 200 W bi-directional and isolated battery charger, which connects a 60 V battery bank to a 230 V DC link. As the main contribution, it is used a modulation strategy that makes unnecessary the use of auxiliary switching circuits, simplifying the circuit. In addition, the proposed converter operates as a voltage step-up converter during the discharge of the batteries, ensuring that the DC link voltage is maintained at a constant value.
