Segmental optical anisotropy of copolymer macromolecules is determined for cases of a continuous and discrete change in the backbone rigidity. It is shown that the dependence of segmental optical anisotropy of copolymers on their composition permits assessing the relative contribution of components into the total rigidity of a copolymer chain.
