Leah Shoemaker is a researcher, writer, and early childhood educator from rural interior BC relocated to Toronto. Her work looks at the privileging discourses that have romanticized the nature-child relationship, such as those that took place during her small-town upbringing. Leah uses feminist methods of narrative writing to share memories and identity to connect with theory and emotions.
