420 stainless steel has high hardness and wear resistance with good corrosion resistance which makes it well suited material for injection mold and surgical tools. In the current work, laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) using 420 stainless steel was conducted to study the physical properties of test cube specimens and determine best process parameters to print functional injection molding mold and surgical tools.
