The FDTD method of solving the Maxwell equations and methods for specifying a plane wave for it are considered. In addition, the features of implementation of calculations in MATLAB via graphics processing unit were considered. The comparative analysis of the difference solution of the Maxwell equations in the MATLAB language via the GPU for different ways of specifying a plane wave using an inexpensive graphics card is proposed. As a result, it is possible to speedup calculations to 60 times in the MATLAB language via the user video card NVIDIA GTX 960m.
