Received: 10 October 2019 Accepted: 21 February 2020 International regulations for the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), including chemicals are governed by the United Nations (UN) recommendations in the form of a model regulation and by international and regional agreements. This transportation may take place by road, rail, sea, river, air or multimodal transport. Through this state of the art, we will focus on the International, African and Moroccan regulatory and institutional context of the road transport of dangerous goods. Constraints in the regulation of the transport of dangerous chemical within the Moroccan territory are discussed in details with the view of highlighting prospects for improvement.
