The development of a critical awareness of the actions we perform linked to its immediate consequences and along the time is one of the environmental education goals. In this sense, we developed this work with the co-participation of miners of places with small activities of mineral extraction known as Pedreira (Picuí PB) and Xique-Xique 120 (Carnauba dos Dantas RN), in order to confront their practices with the resulting environmental impacts. Through this dialogic relationship, between academy and the miners, was possible to establish the debate and, from this, consolidate concepts that will be used in the changing of practices, what makes possible to reduce, in the medium and long-term, environmental impacts from mining activity.
