Rhaucus papilionaceus (Simon, 1879) restored combination is revalidated, as previously stated by Henriksen (1932). A redescription of the species including Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images and a distribution map is offered. This species represents the sixth valid species of the genus and extends its altitudinal range to lowest forests in the Colombian Andes (1500 m a.s.l.). © 2018. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Ex. Fis. Nat.
