The concept of internal ideology is introduced to present ideological processes occurring in the consciousness and unconsciousness of a person by analogy to parallel processes in the system of power, in society and the state. An expanded understanding of ideology is not limited to politics and standards of sociality, but also reveals its presence in science, culture, economics, etc. Along with such formats as “consciousness for the Other” and “thinking instead of the Other” (Marx, Stirner) is considered the ideological of “internal dialogue”, “human inner world”, etc. Such effects are actualized in transit from group to mass models of sociality and the latest forms of shadow, latent, diffuse (“penetrating”) ideology. In als ob mode the phenomena of the “ideological unconsciousness” are discussed. The “useful” qualities of internal ideology are analyzed: contraideological and contra-social, projective and conservative, orientational and compensatory. Internal ideology is demarcated from certain forms of rationalization through the opposition “faith in the package of knowledge”.
