The author offers an approach justifying the advisability of including a reflective agent in the control system of complex human machine objects, acting alternately with the human operator, in order to ensure their mutual control and insurance. The conceptual difference between the proposed approach and traditional automation methods is that the "agent" can perform reflective control, like control in the conditions of complete autonomy from a human operator. The conditions of equal (contractual) interaction between the human operator and the reflective agent in critical situations of controlling are formulated as the principle of mutual redundancy.
