Two ways to a perfect person are considered: humanistic and technocratic, differing in their understanding of man and differently defining the strategy of his development. One way comes from the concept of man as a "foreign" being, who has a complex spiritual-natural-social organization. Perfection is understood as the deployment, cultivation of the abilities inherent in it, and is aimed at approximating the image of an ideal person and an ideal citizen. The most complete idea of this path is given by philosophical paideia in its Socratic-Platonic understanding. The second path proceeds from the understanding of man as one of the links in the chain of the evolution of nature, far from perfection and therefore in need of serious external transformations of his natural and mental organization with the goal of achieving capabilities comparable or superior to the level achieved by modern technical devices. In the first case, a person strives for the idea of a perfect person, in the second — to competitiveness against the background of modern technology.
