The working conditions that the personnel of infirmary must confront, in many cases reverberate negatively in the health of these and in the quality of offered attention; since a few good working conditions facilitate the adjustment to the place of work and the suitable development of the functions. Objetive: To determine the working conditions of the personnel of infirmary in a clinic of high complexity in Valledupar. Methodology: realized Study was descriptive and of transverse cut, which allowed to determine the characteristics of the working conditions of a sample of 171 nurses, of the clinic of high complexity of Valledupar. Results: one thought that the conditions of work in safety terms are adapted for the development of the functions of these nurses; nevertheless, in terms of health, it thinks that aspects related to the remuneration, to little professional recognition and perception of monotonous work that have these, carries to a labor dissatisfaction and exhibition to psychological risks. Discussion: These results coincide with affirmations presented in the Latin-American and national context, there being demonstrated problematic furthermore serious derivatives of the inadequate intervention of these aspects. Conclusions: The working conditions of the personnel of infirmary allow to infer that guarantees existfor the development of functions with a low level of risks. Nevertheless, the remunerative conditions do not allow to the worker to fulfill a satisfactory function. What makes the implementation of actions necessary towards the individual components and extralaborales that allow to support a personal and professional balance, in altars of promoting an emotional balance and an attention with quality.
