El objetivo de este articulo es analizar el vinculo entre la desmemoria causada por el conflicto belico de la Guerra Civil espanola y la desintegracion del universo narrativo que sustenta la ficcion literaria en El oscurecer (un encuentro) (2002) de Luis Mateo Diez, un mundo ficticio que esta a punto de desaparecer. De acuerdo con esto, el estudio se centra en diferentes elementos que arrojan luz sobre esta perspectiva: la desmemoria, la soledad, el silencio o la perdida del lenguaje.  The purpose of this article is to analyze the link between the amnesia caused by the military conflict of the Spanish Civil World and the desintegration of narrative universe which supports the literary fiction in El oscurecer (un encuentro) (2002) by Luis Mateo Diez, a fictional world that is about to disappear. According to this, the study focuses on different aspects that shed light on this perspective: the forget­fulness, the  isolation, the silence or the lack of language.
