O trabalho sempre foi visto como uma tarefa complicada e que necessita de dedicacao para conseguir realizar e finalizar. Quando esta palavra associada ao emprego, nota-se a importância que traz ao significado e a vida das pessoas, alem de colaborar para a mudanca na visao de mundo. Este artigo quer compreender a representatividade do seu trabalho/emprego para os trabalhadores da construcao civil pesada no trecho da BR 277, alem de tentar entender a maneira como eles vivenciam e dao sentido as suas experiencias ao longo da vida nesta atividade, que e visto pela sociedade como arduo. Buscou-se observar como os trabalhadores classificavam seu trabalho em prazer e/ou sofrimento, fazendo indagacoes e entrevistas no proprio local de trabalho, para que pudesse complementar e vivenciar o seu dia-a-dia. A subjetividade tambem foi abordada com o intuito de salientar a importância da individualidade na leitura das producoes por cada sujeito. Palavras-chave: Representacao. Subjetividade. Construcao Civil. Abstract Work has always been a complicated task and requires dedication to be accomplished and finished. When work associated with employment results in an important matter that brings meaning for people’s lives, besides it collaborates with the change in world’s view. This article aims to understand the representativeness of work / employment for heavy construction workers who work at BR 277 and try to understand how they experience and give meaning to their lifelong experiences on this activity, which is seen by society as arduous. We observed how the workers classified their work in pleasure and / or suffering, making inquiries and interviews in their workplace, so it could complement the experiences of their daily lives. Subjectivity was also approached in order to emphasize the importance of individuality in reading the productions by each subject. Keywords: Representation. Subjectivity.  Heavy Construction.
