TAHKİYELİ ANLATIM İLE DİNÎ-AHLAKÎ DEĞER ÖĞRETİMİ ÖRNEĞİ: NİYÂZÜ L-MÜZNİBÎN

The general perspective of the works found in classical Turkish literature includes religious elements. The Quran and hadiths have been the most used sources among these elements. As in every period, literary texts have been made the dominant tool to transfer the Islamic religion, the way of living it, and its application to the society. The aim of these texts was to reach out to the wider masses of people and to make the theme which was covered understood correctly. In these texts where mostly abstract concepts were used as content, simple expression methods were utilized to increase the intelligibility. Narrative expression is one of these methods. Niyâzü’l-Müznibîn is a religious-sufistic mesnevi written by Ali Zelîlî. Moral teachings are widely included in this work, which is also described as an akaid (religious) text. The fact that these teachings consist of Islamic elements can make the work uniform. Niyâzü’l-Müznibîn contains examples of anecdotes and stories inside it to prevent this uniformity and to provide fluency to the text. In this study, narrative elements were determined and the value they added to the work was examined.
