The Ottoman Empire needed pleadings containing detailed information on various institutions and organizations in the territories it reigned over in the 19th century. To this end, the books prepared to meet the new needs are called yearbooks. The yearbooks which present the events of the year, development of the institutions, appointments and dismissals of civil servants, economic and social conditions contains important historical information. During the reign of Abdul Hamid II, the educational organizations were revised and the number, types and programs of these schools changed. The innovations made in education and training life are also reflected in the functioning of the Ministry of Education. Accordingly, the yearbooks prepared by the supervisor, which became a necessity, took their final form. The main sources of the study focused on seven Aleppo Province yearbooks and five yearbooks a section on the last period of Ottoman education has been presented through Antakya projection. Although there have been many studies on the cultural values of Antakya, which is the gateway of the Middle East to the Eastern Mediterranean, the educational status of Antakya has not been mentioned enough. In this respect, the primary objective of the article is to provide detailed information on the activities of educational institutions operating in Antakya. Among the aims of the study is to determine the functioning of educational institutions in Antakya, education and training programs and the place of institutions in social life. Thus, by means of the first-hand sources of the period, the Ottoman education system was tried to be reached through the sample of Antakya.  Dr. Öğr. During the research period, the schools in Antakya district were evaluated one by one and a general evaluation was made. The subject was explained with a qualitative research design based on data collection and analysis based on documents that do not require one to one interaction. With this method, the common aspects of the parts forming the whole were determined and some generalizations were made. However, considering the importance of limitations, the spatial framework of the study was drawn as Antakya district and its temporal limitation was between 1898 and 1908. It can be said that the educational institutions of Antakya in the period of interest operate in accordance with the general policies of the period. However, due to the strategic importance of Antakya, it was seen that the foreigners opened private schools here.
