ÜSKÜPLÜ ATÂ VE TÜRKÇE DİVANI NA DAİR

In the field of divan literature, there are many notable poets whose names are mentioned in collections of biographies or in some sources with few lines, and whose poems are found only in poetry mecmuas, and whose works we cannot reach as a whole for numerous reasons. While some of these gain the right to live in the field of literature with their unearthed works, others are doomed to be forgotten or only to be mentioned with a few lines. Despite the inadequate knowledge of various sources about the Skopjan Atâ, he has made his existence permanent in our literature thanks to his masnavi called Tuhfetü’l-Uşşâk, which has been introduced to our literature through determination and examination. The Turkish divan whose existence was reported in the sources, could not be determined until now. In addition, Atâ’s poems were identified in the marginal note part of the manuscript, existing between pages 436b-459b of the written work registered with number 62 in Turkish written works of John Rylands Library in Manchester, and this written work has been the subject of a postgraduate thesis. In this study, the life of the Skopjan Atâ, who lived at the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century, his life that there isn’t much information about, and his works, Turkish Divan created by us by using the aforementioned manuscripts and several poetry mecmuas, his poems and his literal personality were discussed.
