The purpose of this study is to investigate the physical fitness levels of 10-12 age children in schools in different socioeconomic level. For this purpose, 122 children (age 11.05±0.57; 62 boy; 11.15±0.65; 60 girl) with high socio-economic level (HSEL) and 78 children (age 11.11±0.50; 43 boy; 10.98±0.46; 35 girl) with low socio-economic level (LSEL) participated in the study. In Children, weight, height, BMI, standing long jump (SLJ), crunches, 20 meters sprint, bent arm hang test (BAH), balance, flexibility and % fat properties were examined. The data of the children in different socio-economic schools were compared with the Independent-Sample T Test according to the whole group and gender. Statistical procedures were performed using IBM SPSS 22 statistical package program. When the data according to gender were evaluated, statistically significant difference was observed in P <0.01 level between weight and% fat values in both genders. While there was a significant difference in height values among women, there was a significant difference in BMI between men (P <0.01). A statistically significant difference was observed between the shuttle, flexibility and balance values in P <0.01 level in males. A significant difference was found in P <0.05 level in 20 meter speed test. In women; A significant difference was observed in P <0.01 level between the flexibility values. A significant difference was found between the SLJ data and P <0.05 level. The results of the comparison of anthropometric data with respect to gender in groups with the same socio-economic level; A significant difference was found in P <0.01 level in favor of males between the two levels. There was no significant difference between the genders in the LSEL group as a result of the comparison of the gender-based motor performance test data of the groups at the same socioeconomic level. In the HSEL group, there was a significant difference at P <0.01 level in the SLJ, crunches and 20M tests, while there was a significant difference in the flexibility test at P <0.05 level. In conclusion, the higher obesity evaluation criteria, BMI and% fat values were significantly higher in the HSEL group than in the LSEL group, suggesting that this group might be at risk for long term obesity.
