Two new species of Schistochilopsis are described from the easternmost Pacific Rus sia (Kamchatka and Kurils). S. obscura Bakalin sp. nov. is characterized by ‘lo­ pho zioid’ appea rance, relatively large trigones in leaf cells and few in number oil bodies per mid leaf cell. S. pacifica is distinguished by golden brownish pig men ta­ tion of apical seg ment of shoots, relatively few in number biconcentric oil bo dies and leaves with entire margins.
