The work of Ahmed-i Dâ’i named Tercume-i Tefsir-i Ebu’l-Leys-i Semerkandi has an important place because of the fact that it’s the first commentary on the Qoran having been translated into Turkish in Anatolia. This work shows the properties of orthography and language of its period clearly. In this study, some introductory and advertiser information about the work, also some linguistic properties of the work have been given.
