Aim of the study: The goal of this study was to identify factors which might influence the severity of bilateral, subjective tinnitus. The following variables were included into statistical analyses: patient’s age, gender, depression and anxiety as well as tinnitus duration. Material and methods: Thirty eight patients (16 women), aged from 21 to 71 years (mean age =42 years and 1 month ±12 years and 10 months) with chronic (>6 months), bilateral subjective tinnitus underwent audiological diagnosis and completed the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). 20 © Nowa Audiofonologia® 3(4), 2014: 20–27
