Due to precocity with which many adolescents have sexual intercourse, they put their future at risk, thus altering their process of comprehensive development, in this sense, the need to investigate certain attitudes in relation to sexuality arises. In this regard, a comparative study was carried out with the aim of knowing if there are differences in respect of initiation of sexual intercourse among adolescents and young people from the cities of Trujillo, Chiclayo and Tarapoto. The study universe was made up of 1,464 adolescents and young people of both sexes between the ages of 17 and 21 years old from the cities of Trujillo, Chiclayo and Tarapoto respectively, for which, we went to different regular and higher basic educational institutions of these cities. Likewise, a simple random sampling was performed. The obtained results showed that most of the adolescents and young people began having sexual intercourse at 16 years old, they had sexual intercourse for the first time in their own houses, and the contraceptive method more used was the condom.
