In this paper, the different approaches regarding hydroeconomy in a context of climate change are taken into account and how the physical and social sciences are interrelated that allow an adequate efficient management of water for its different uses. For this purpose, a systematic literature search was conducted in topics related to hydroeconomics, climate change and biodiversity. The results show us relevant aspects at present such as the greater demand of water for the different activities that are being developed by the societies, even more in a context of climate change, so the availability of water for consumptive and non-consumptive activities, come being diminished, it is for that reason that the hydro-economic models develop processes where productive activities intervene, the economic components and the ecosystems that are part of the provisions of the water service; Within the ecosystems, the vegetation and biodiversity cover is taken into account, which is related to the greater recharge of aquifers, consequently greater water availability.
