Agronomic works to obtain homogeneous seeds of six maca morphotypes (Lepidium meyenii) under study in its second generation, using the method of individual selection; as well as an approximation of the production costs in the two phases of the crop for the calculation of their economic profitability, they took place in the Province of Pasco, during the years 2018 and 2019. The results indicate that the fundamentals have not yet been determined. scientists and / or technicians who color maca hypocotyls; that is, it cannot be scientifically affirmed that the homogeneous colors of the hypocotyls sought are due to genetic reasons or environmental conditions and / or soil types. The morphotypes under investigation are: black, white, red, yellow, lead and pink. The productivity of maca per unit of area cultivated in its natural habitat over those of 4000 meters above sea level, is 50 percent more compared to the productivity achieved at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level. With the analysis of costs and productivity, it was found that the production of fresh hypocotyls should not be less than 4400 kilograms per hectare to avoid economic losses to the farmer
