The measures of governmental support are of a great importance for today’s Russian economy. However, the public resources are limited, and, as a consequence, of topical issue is their effective use which can be based on using the econometric modeling. On the basis of an econometrical model describing the housing market demand in Novosibirsk Oblast, as well as a list of the factors that significantly impact the regional construction market, the article makes a possible forecast of supply changes on the housing market in the Oblast. A conclusion is made of desirability of supporting the industry by the government. Depending on the specified variables of the econometric model, as well as the supply forecast in the industry, the article identifies the directions in which the regional construction market can be supported by the government. It estimates possible budget expenditures for construction support and makes a conclusion of cooperation significance between the construction business and the government, which will allow to make the most effective use of the proposed measures of governmental support.
