El concepto de vision del mundo fue inicialmente elaborado por Wilhem Dilthey, como parte de su fundamentacion de las ciencias del espiritu. Luego fue introducido en la investigacion en Didactica de las Ciencias por William Cobern. En este articulo se presenta dicho constructo mostrando brevemente su origen, sus rasgos mas relevantes y las principales variantes que ha tenido. En particular, se exponen los fundamentos teoricos basicos de la vision del mundo desarrollada por Michael Kearney, que posteriormente retomo Cobern. Finalmente, se denota su importancia y sus implicaciones para la investigacion en la Didactica de las Ciencias. Abstract The concept of World View was proposed by Wilhem Dilthey as part of providing grounds to the “sciences of the spirit”. Later, William Cobern established this concept in the Science Education. This article deals with the World View concept and shows its beginnings, the main characteristics, and its subsequent developments. Particularly, the research presents the basic theoretical assumptions of the World View of Kearney, that Cobern revisited later. Finally, we expose the importance and the implications of the concept for the Science Education.

A view point based on didactic methods in Science on the concept of world vision
