O emprego de cola de fibrina no tratamento de fístulas anais tem sido relatado em diversos estudos, com a finalidade de obliterar o trajeto fistuloso, criando uma matriz para sua cicatrização definitiva. O método consiste na curetagem e lavagem do trajeto fistuloso, seguidas pela injeção da cola. Esse procedimento pode ser associado ao avanço de retalhos endorretais ou outros métodos para obliteração do orifício interno, o que pode aumentar sua eficácia. Os índices de cicatrização descritos variam de 30 a 50 % em média. A sua utilização não prejudica a realização de outros procedimentos, em caso de insucesso, o que pode torná-lo uma opção para o tratamento inicial das fístulas anais. The use of fibrin glue in the treatment of anal fistulas has been reported. The aim of this method is to close the fistulous tract, creating a matrix able to promote definitive healing. The thecnique is simple, the fistulous tract is curetted and washed before fibrin glue injection. The procedure can be associated with endorectal advancement flap that enhances cicatrization rates. Healing rates from 30 to 50 % are described. Further treatment options are not compromised by this method
