The common domestic equine species present various\udhematological differences within reference values as a\udresult of age, breed, sex, physical activity, among others.\udTherefore, it is important that reference intervals should\udbe established for these particularities. This work aimed to\udevaluate sequential changes in hematological parameters\udof healthy Thoroughbred foals from birth to six months of\udlife. Blood samples were collected immediately after birth\ud(before the intake of colostrum), at 24 h, 7 days, 1, 2, 3, 4,\ud5 and 6 months of age in order to measure packed cell\udvolume (PCV), total plasma protein (TPP), fibrinogen and\udwhite blood cells (WBC). Descriptive statistics, analysis\udof one-way AOV and comparison between means by LSD\udtest were accomplished. Hematological values were\udassessed in 1426 samples. The curve variations in PCV,\udtotal plasma protein, fibrinogen and WBC values observed\udin healthy Thoroughbred foals from birth to 6 months\udwere similar to those described for other breeds. However,\udwe verified higher TPP values than mean reference values\udat all ages. The ranges of fibrinogen and WBC showed\udsmall intervals and maximum values below the\udhematologic reference values for all ages. These changes\udin hematologic values provide useful information for\udclinical evaluation of Thoroughbred foals
