〔目的〕特定健診受診者における主観的咀嚼能力とメタボリックシンドローム関連指標との関係について調査した。〔対象〕特定健診受診者56名とした。〔方法〕主観的咀嚼能力における咀嚼良好群と咀嚼不良群間での身体測定項目血液検査項目咬合力食習慣についてのアンケート結果を比較した。〔結果〕咀嚼良好群の咬合力は咀嚼不良群より有意に高値であった。血液検査結果の比較ではHbA1cで咀嚼良好群が咀嚼不良群より有意に低値であった。アンケートでは咀嚼良好群の方が昼食にかける時間が長くゆっくりと食事をとり軟食に偏らないように配慮していた。〔結語〕主観的咀嚼能力が高い者は食事の速さや内容に配慮しており咬合力も強いと考えられた。また主観的咀嚼能力とHbA1c値との関係が示唆された。
