Hand-held Dynamometerを使用し肩関節周囲筋筋力の加齢的変化を分析することを目的とした。健常女性20歳代60歳代の各年代20名ずつ計100名200肩を対象とした。年齢と肩関節周囲筋筋力との間には負の相関がみられた。肩甲胸郭関節に主に関与する筋群は肩甲上腕関節に主に関与する筋群よりも負の相関が強かった。年代間の筋力の比較では肩甲胸郭関節に主に関与する筋群が40歳代頃から筋力低下がみられるのに対して肩甲上腕関節に主に関与する筋群は50歳代・60歳代頃から筋力低下がみられた。以上より肩甲胸郭関節に主に関与する筋群の筋力は年齢と負の相関が強く筋力低下が起こりはじめる年代も早いことが示唆された。
