本稿の目的は変形性股関節症患者と健常者を対象として歩行時立脚前期・中期・後期の股関節外転筋活動様式を比較検討することである。対象は全例女性で股関節症患者10名(38.4±12.7歳)と健常者10名(42.8±7.9歳)とした。被検者に自由歩行させ同時に股関節外転筋の筋電波形と爪先部・踵部フットスイッチからの信号を記録した。この信号から立脚前期・中期・後期それぞれの外転筋活動の積分値を求めた。その結果全例とも筋電積分値は前期中期後期の順に大きい傾向にあった。患者群と健常群で各筋電積分値の差を比較したところ患者群は立脚中期(p<0.05)と後期(p<0.01)が有意に大きかった。患者群のほとんどは前期に十分な筋活動が起こらず筋活動は後期まで残存している傾向にあった。このように外転筋の活動様式が異なる原因として患者群は股関節外転筋力低下のみならず他の股関節周囲筋の筋力低下やそれらの筋との協調的な活動ができていないことを考えた。
