健常男性10名(平均年齢23.9±4.8歳)を対象にトレッドミル平地歩行と室内平地歩行を生理的反応と主観的運動強度(以下RPE)の観点より比較し呼吸循環系に障害のある人に応用するための基礎研究とした。測定項目は時速4km6km8kmでの各速度における心拍数(以下HR)酸素摂取量(以下VO2)体重当たりの酸素摂取量(以下VO2/W)歩行率歩幅主観的運動強度(RPE)である。室内平地歩行におけるVO2はトレッドミル平地歩行で得られたVO2とHRの回帰式より推定して求めた。その結果トレッドミル平地歩行の方が室内平地歩行よりHRVO2RPEは高い値を示し生体に及ぼす負荷が大きかった。またHRはトレッドミル平地歩行室内平地歩行共にRPEから換算したHRよりも高い値を示した。つまり主観的な運動強度以上の負荷を生体が受けていた。以上のことは健常者において得られた結果であり今後呼吸循環系に障害がある人を対象とした研究において参考になると考えられる。
