RhagoletisÂ cerasi L.Â is considered to be the mainÂ pest of sweet cherry and sour cherry plantationsÂ , whoseÂ attackÂ mayÂ decrease the qualityÂ of fruitsÂ in aÂ high percentage.Â The experimentÂ took placeÂ in twoÂ locationsÂ fromÂ Cluj-Napoca city. During 2 eperimentalÂ yearsnwe observed the populationÂ dynamicsÂ of European cherry fruit fly.Â In the yearÂ 2013Â the beginning ofÂ flightÂ took placeÂ on MayÂ 25Â and theÂ maximumÂ flight curveÂ wasÂ reachedÂ inÂ June 10Â inÂ untreatedÂ orchard, respectivelyÂ on the 24thÂ of JuneÂ in caseÂ of theÂ chimcally treated orchardÂ .Â InÂ 2014Â the firstÂ capturesÂ were recordedÂ on MayÂ 21Â and the maximum density ofÂ populationÂ  was Â achieved inÂ untreatedÂ orchardÂ onÂ June 3 andÂ June 17Â inÂ the orchardÂ wereÂ chemical treatments whereÂ  applied. AdultÂ flight ranged on a period ofÂ 36 toÂ 51Â daysÂ in the yearÂ 2013 andÂ 48-51Â daysÂ inÂ 2014.
