Cellulose fiberous adsorbent (CCCF) was prepared from sugacane agasse by coating chitosan  on the fiber surface. The chitosan layer coated on the cellulose fiber enhanced adsorption to Cd 2+ and Zinc 2+ . High efficency of the CCCF of removal % for the Cd (II) and Zn (II) was  with  93.7 % and 93.0 %, respectively and the adsorption capacity was 2.0 mg/g.
