ACQUIRE DATA ON NATURE MONUMENTS – PROPOSITION OF THE NATURE MONUMENT

The aim of the article is to present the Record Card of the Natural Monument to the Tree, which would allow for the standardization of obtaining and presenting data on monumental trees. The study uses data from the Register of Nature Monuments of the Lower Silesian Voivodship made available by the Regional Directorate for Environmental Protection (RDEP) in Wroclaw, existing municipal records of nature monuments records and data from the Central Register of Nature Conservation Forms facilitated by the General Director for Environmental Protection (CRNCF). Based on the qualitative assessment and the scope of data contained in the RDEP and CRNCF registers and record sheets, an original proposal for a nature monument record card was prepared for individual trees and groups. The proposed unified scope of data on nature monuments will allow for the usage of collected information in statistical surveys, comparative analyses, and species research. In addition, the quality of data collection will contribute to the proper protection of trees and their surroundings.
