Twelve new localities are reported for the following four Embiratermes species:  E. ignotus  Constantino, 1991;  E. latidens  (Emerson &amp; Banks, 1957);  E. silverstrii  (Emerson, 1949); and  E. spissus  (Emerson &amp; Banks, 1957). The new localities extend the distribution span from 940 km up to 1,800 km.  Embiratermes latidens  is recorded beyond Amazonia for the first time. The enteric valve armature for workers of these species is provided.
