El objetivo del presente articulo es analizar las iniciativas internacionales y regionales mas relevantes en la lucha contra la corrupcion desde la Convencion Interamericana contra la Corrupcion de 1996 hasta la Convencion de Naciones Unidas contra la Corrupcion del ano 2003. El trabajo se centra en el estudio de las medidas represivas de los comportamientos corruptos, presta especial consideracion a la necesidad de tipificar como delito la corrupcion de funcionarios publicos ya sean nacionales, extranjeros o de organizaciones internacionales, asi como la corrupcion entre privados.AbstractThe objective of the present paper is to analyze the more important international and regional initiatives in the fight against corruption, from the Inter-American Convention against Corruption of year 1996 to the United Nations Convention against Corruption of year 2003. The article concentrates on the study of the repressive measures of corruptive behaviors, taking the necessity to establish as criminal offence the corruption of national and foreign officials and the corruption of international organizations officials, as well as the private corruption, into special consideration.
