The structures of Na 2 TiF 6  and Na 2 SiF 6  were redetermined ( R  = 0.036, 0.029). The space group  C 2 was found instead of trigonal symmetry. Measurements on twinned crystals and powder showed the coexistence of different pseudotrigonal phases.
