Three synthetic multi-element standards (SMELS-I, II and III), developed recently, have been characterized for their elemental concentration   via   neutron activation analysis using two research reactors with different neutron flux characteristics. A total of 25 different elements were analysed   via   γ-ray spectrometry. The neutron flux was characterized by bare triple monitor method. All the results were within ±5% of the reference values except for Zr in SMELS-III. We suggest to use the  k  0,Au  and  Q  0  values for   127 I/ 128 I and   133 Cs/ 134m Cs from another data source.
