By using a spectrum average technique, the cumulative yields of the fission products of  238 U were determined at 5.0 MeV neutron energy. In the determination, the  115 In( n , n′ ) 115m In reaction was used as a monitor. The gamma spectra of the fission products and those of the monitor were taken by using a REGe detector with Be window. The determined values were corrected for contribution from the  235 U( n , f )reaction. The results were compared with predicted values from EXFOR data file.
