Measurements have been made of the yields of 14 nuclides from the fission of natural thorium ( 232 Th) induced by neutrons of 14.7 ± 0.2 MeV. A peak-to-valley yield ratio of 5.2 is found, with the yield at the maximum of the light peak measured as 6.50 ± 0.33%. The maxima of the light and heavy peaks fall respectively at masses 91 and 137, the peak width being 12.5 mass units.
