In diesem Beitrag wird Kontextnutzung als eine wesentliche Entwicklung im Bereich ubiquitärer Informationssysteme eingeführt. Es wird ein Modell und eine Klassifikation für interaktive Anwendungen, die Kontext nutzen, vorgestellt. Weiter wird ein Ansatz zur Erkennung von Kontexten, basierend auf Merkmalen, erläutert. Schließlich werden empirische Ergebnisse aus einem Projekt, in dem ein Mobiltelefon gebaut wurde, das Kontext nutzt, beschrieben.
