Dr. Helen Petrie is Director of the Sensory Disabilities Research Unit at the University of Herfordshire. She has an MSc in Information Science and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, both from the University of London. Her research interests are in human-computer interaction and the psychology of disability, particularly in the design and evaluation of computerbased systems for disabled and elderly people.
