Die Arbeit beschreibt einen Lichtpunktabt aster, der zusammen mit dem Digitalrechner TR 10 ein programmierbares Zeichenerkennungssystem bildet. Der abtastende Lichtfleck wird auf einer Kathodenstrahlröhre erzeugt. Dieses Prinzip gestattet zahlreiche Variationen des Abtastprogrammes. Die wesentlichen Merkmale des Gerätes sind das Vorlagenformat DIN A4 und die Auflösung in Bildelemente von minima! etwa 100 μ χ 100 μ. Die abgetastete Information wird binär quantisiert.
