Le Pere Noel Mailloux est une des grandes figures intellectuelles du Quebec. Il est entre autres le fondateur du departement de psychologie de l’universite de Montreal et l’instigateur de la psychanalyse au Quebec. Cet article presente d’abord les moments cles de son parcours ainsi que les enjeux fondamentaux de sa pratique de transmission au carrefour des sciences humaines (anthropologie, criminologie, etc.). Il presente ensuite son role dans la naissance de la psychanalyse quebecoise pour ensuite degager quelques pistes de reflexion autour de l’effacement de sa presence dans la memoire collective. The Father Noel Mailloux is one of the major intellectual figures of Quebec. He is among others the founder of the department of psychology of the university of Montreal and the instigator of the psychoanalysis in Quebec. This paper presents at first the key moments of its path as well as the fundamental stakes in its practice of transmission to the crossroads of the human sciences (anthropology, criminology, etc.). It presents then its role in the birth of the psychoanalysis from Quebec to indicate then some lines of thought around the disappearance of his presence in the collective memory.
