Through the analysis of school documents and of the Trentino context of the early twentieth century, the author seeks answer to the following questions: could Silvia (Chiara) Lubich, a student of the Istituto Magistrale “A. Rosmini ” in Trento, somehow have known the great philosopher and pedagogist from Rovereto? How did her love for study, philosophy, and truth come about -a love that was so significant in her whole existence ? What situations and persons encouraged these attitudes?
