The article is devoted to an analysis of the corpus of wills of peasants living in the Kingdom of Poland at the turn of the Middle Ages and the early modern era. This was inspired and based on a recent source edition compiled by Janusz Łosowski. The most important institutions of the peasant will, its normative context and the possible influence of the ius commune are analyzed.
