From the moss Bartramia halleriana six biflavonoids have been isolated. Their structure was elucidated by chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. The compounds are bartramiaflavone, anhydrobartramiaflavone, philonotisflavone, 2,3-dihydrophilonotisflavone, 5′,3‴-dihydroxyamentoflavone and 5′,3‴dihydroxyrobustaflavone.
