The hot  11 C-atom derived from (γ, n)-nuclear reaction of the 40 MeV-Bremsstrahlung of a electron linear accelerator may react with valine irradiated. Besides retention-labelling of valine new products which are essentially carrierfree may be produced. By this means leucine has been separated using HPLC and identified by electrophoresis in amounts of 25 MBq labelled com­pound.
