Reactions of chloro bridged palladium compounds with di- and tripeptide esters give (Et 3 P)(Cl) 2 Pd(NH 2 CHR 1 CONHCHR 2 CO 2 CH 3 ) and the N,N′-chelate compounds (Et 3 P)- (Cl)Pd(NH 2 CH 2 CONCHR 1  CO 2 R 2 ), [C 6 H 4 CH  2 NMe 2 (C,N)]Pd(NH 2 CH 2 CONCH 2 CO 2 Et) and (Et 3 P)Pd(gly-gly-glyOMe-2H + ). The structure of (Et 3 P)(Cl)Pd(gly-alaOMe-H + ) was determined by X-ray diffraction analyses.
